Lobster Snowboards 2014-2015 Range Preview - ISPO 2014

 

 

 

Halldor and Eiki Helgason’s snowboard (or snowbaord) brand is all ways one of the more popular brands each year. With Bataleon’s Triple Base Tech (TBT) and some of the craziest/weirdest/grossest graphics going, get a load of the basic models that will be available for the 2014/15 season.

 

Next year’s park baord graphics look a little tame, but we were assured that the ‘special edition’ would be next level filth. Alas, no one’s aloud to peep that just yet.

 

 

 

It’s the same story with the jib baord, top secret offensive-ness, but check out the flex this beast has in the video below.

 

 

And finally, no snowboard brand could really lay claim to being the most offensive ever with out marketing to kids too.

Thank god they toned it down here…

Salomon's 2014-2015 Gear Preview - Boards

 

SNEAKY PEAK AT THE 2014-2015 SEASON

 

 

 

 

Salomon Gypsy, The Wonder and Pillow Talk Snowboard 2014-2015

 

The Whitelines team headed over to Avant Premiere last week to check out next season’s gear. Some they were able to try and test, others they got some sneaky snaps.

They managed to source out the latest gear for you guys at Salomon. So take a look at their newest range of boards for next season’s shredders.

The first board up is the Salomon Jed Anderson. The rail slayer himself has brought out a pro model park board this year and we expect it will be a great seller come next winter. Jed is one of the world’s best rail riders, so expect this stick to excel in the park and out on the streets.

Next door we have the Assassin. Back again this year, with the same logo, we hope that’s a sign it’ll ride the same too. Slice up the mountains and take no prisoners as you strap into the Assassin board next season.

 

 

 

It seems Salomon have gone for some pretty wild graphics this year from the line up here. The women’s Gypsy board on the far left looks damn steezy with those sick graphics. If it’s anything like its earlier version, this board will be great for girls wanting to hit the parks next season.

In the centre we have the Wonder board. Like the 2013/14 model, this board will be a great all-terrain board and have you riding steezy all over the mountain. We always ‘Wonder’ how Salomon manage to make such sick rides?!

And finally we have the Pillow Talk on the end there. New for next season, this board has got a rad design and the unusual shape suggests it’ll float through powder across the Backcountry. And the lovely lady featured on the front is even pointing you in the right direction, so you won’t forget which way you’re going.

 

 

 

The Man Board! The ultimate ‘I am a Man’ ride for next season. And if the name wasn’t enough, the voluptuous warrior woman and possessed tiger are sure to persuade everyone in the apres bar that you really are The Man. This looks like a rad board for next season lads so put down your beer and go pick up your Man Board.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Next up we have the Salomon Sabotage. Back again, this park machine will have you stomping the biggest kickers on the hill next season so be warned and the new graphics this year are looking pretty steezy too.

The Villian next door is also featuring some awesome graphics and has been dubbed as a ‘freestyle machine’ in the past.

 

 

It looks like Salomon have designed some epic pow machines this season. Both the Sickstick and the Derby Rocket have got some of the coolest designs in the Salomon preview range so far and with that pointed nose and slightly set back stance, you will be drawing fresh lines all season next year. The bear on the Sickstick is a personal favourite and by the looks of things, he’s a pretty rad rider himself…

 

 

 

 

The Time Machine is finally ready. Who knew it would be Salomon Snowboards that first invented it?! Back again this season, the Time Machine will have riders tearing up the whole mountain, and may even treat them to a glimpse of the future of riding….

Burton's 2014-2015 Snowboards, Boots & Bindings Preview - ISPO 2014

 

Team Whitelines is currently out at ISPO, the ginormagantuan trade show in Munich where brands come to showcase their wares, eat bratwurst and ogle the promo girls

 

 

Burton occupy one of the bigger stalls, and have packed it to the rafters with fresh kit for next season – not least of which were the many snowboards, boots and bindings. Here are a few of the hardware highlights:

 

Burton Easy Livin Snowboard (Danny Davis Pro Model) 2014/2015

 

 

 

This is the board on which

Danny Davis rode to victory in last night’s X Games halfpipe finals. The Easy Livin has been around for a few years now, and the newest version is a collaboration with Martin & co, purveyors of high quality acoustic guitars.

 

Burton Custom Blend Snowboard 2014/2015

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

New for 2014/2015 is the hempy-looking Custom Blend. We’re a fan of that graphic, and it’s always good to see an extension of the ever-reliable Custom range.

Burton Fish Snowboard 2014/2015

 

 

 

 

The long-serving Fish is still Burton’s flagship powder board. With that crazy tail it can stay afloat in the soft stuff, and while the topsheet’s mainly classic black, that go-faster arrow design on the base is pretty sweet

 

 

 

The Landlord’s a relatively new model, introduced after Burton called time on the Malolo. It makes light work of the kind of all-mountain freestyle riding favoured by

Terje Haakonsen.

 

 

Burton Landlord Split Snowboard 2014/2015

 

The Landlord is also available as a split board, and we were blown away by how easy it is to adjust the bindings.

This collection of boards has been ‘homebrewed’ at Craig’s, Burton’s Research & Development facility in Vermont.

Mega-limited edition with eye-catching graphics, these will no doubt be just as well-received as their 2013/14 equivalents.

As you can see from the video below, the Riglet has a retractable pull-string at the nose, allowing you to drag your nipper along the flat as he/she gets used to standing sideways. this one actually works fine on living-room carpet, so you can get the fundamentals down there before heading to the great outdoors.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Burton Fiend Snowboard Boot 2014/2015

 

 

This is a new release from the B. It’s got a classic, understated look with traditional lacing, but still features plenty of bells and whistles. We expect this one to go down well once it’s released.
