donmeli 14 Report post Posted February 6, 2006 Γειά χαρά σε όλους, όπως έχω αναφέρει και παλιότερα, λόγω της συμμετοχής μου σε γερμανικό forum, έχω "γνωριστεί" με την κα Nicola Werdenigg. Παλία αθλήρια ( 3η στην Ολυμπιάδα του Innsbruck, νίκες και θέσεις σε WC κ.α ). Όταν έληξε την αθλητική της σταδιοδρομία ασχολήθηκε με την προπονητική και σήμερα είναι προπονήτρια κι εκπαιδεύτρια δασκάλων και προπονητών στην Αυστρία. Είχε εκπλαγεί στην αρχή για το ότι υπάρχει Χιονοδρομία ανεπτυγμένη στην Ελλάδα και ήθελε να την δει από κοντά. Μέχρι τώρα δεν τα είχε καταφέρει, αλλά μόλις πριν από λίγο μου έστειλε mail όπου οριστικά πλέον 10-11-12 Μαρτίου θα είναι στον Παρνασσό. Θα ήθελε να γνωρίσει και τους snowclub-ίτες απο κοντά και γι αυτό ανοίγω και το συγκεκριμένο post αφενός για να γίνει γνωστό αλλά και για να μπορέσει να συμμετάσχει και η ίδια ( στα αγλικά ) και να μάθει όσα γίνεται περισσότερα πριν φτάσει. Μιας και είναι και συνιδιοκτήτρια της Edelwiser θα φέρει και μια παρτίδα πέδιλα(καμιά δεκαπενταριά) για δοκιμή για όποιον ενδιαφέρεται. Μπορούμε λοιπόν να τη ρωτήσουμε και να εκμεταλευτούμε τις γνώσεις της οι οποίες σίγουρα είναι σε άλλο επίπεδο. Θα της στείλω αυτό το link και ελπίζω σύντομα να σας πει περισσότερα η ίδια. nicola 0 Report post Posted February 8, 2006 @all - such a warm welcome - thx a lot 80 about edelwiser in the early 1990es i startet occupying myself with a new style of skiing, wich later on was called the "carving - style". soon i found out that the new style demands a radical renewal of ski technology. i met the first (austrian) developer of carvingskis and was admitted to this inner circle of ski developement. after the master mind retired his company successors were more and more committing themselfs to a course in the directon of skiracing. my husband - erwin (we will come together) - and me decided to refine the first models wich were constructed for a "broadband" use. we also wanted to give people the possibility to individually design their own skis. thus in 2004 we founded the "edelwiser" company in vienna. we developed a method of fabrication of custom made design skis. as my desire is to enable skiing on high quality skis for everybody the challenge for us is to offer individual skis with a reasonable price. in about one month we will be able to produce individual designed skis within 48 hrs. also there is a big rush for twintip skis. so we will develop a model in this direction following our philosophy of broadband function. hopefully we should be able to bring some prototypes ... more about skis http://edelwiser.com/en/ more about me http://www.edelwiser.com/download/kunstpis...gg_engl_pic.pdf -question- are there any suggestions for accomodation? so long and best regards ~n~ Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Can't wait till the day that we actually meet and ski together. @ Vouli & Nickel and anybody who can provide accomodation tips to Nicola. She is Austrian which means she has seen more mountains scenes than the most of us can imagine. Greek lesson No1 "Έχω φάει τα βουνά στη μάπα" speak "Echo fai ta vouna sti mapa" which freely translated means " I have seen way too much mountains" Maybe we should give her the chance to combine the beauties of the greek seaside along with the posibility to ski at Parnassos. Maybe Galaxidi is a posibility, if the 45min aditional cardriving isnt a problem. Have in mind please that on Weekends the arrival at the skiresort at 8:00 (+/-) is a must to enjoy some hours of skiing before the place is fluted by the crowd.That means you should start your day at 6-6:30 in that case. Galaxidi is a beautifull village by the sea with lots of hotels and restaurants. As it is directly on the route Patras - Parnassos it will save you some time on your arrival trip. As I come from Galaxidi, it is possible for me to be there during your stay and I shall be very glad to meet you there. Galaxidi is next to the sea and you may see Mt Parnassos very well, while swimming (if you dare in winter) or eating fresh fish. donmeli 14 Report post Posted March 7, 2006 Hi Nicola, even the weather is playing nice. After a warm period we expect new snowfalls during this week, hopefully enough to enjoy off-piste skiing. Due my well known problem, no ski till Sunday, i ll be able to join you on Sunday but i am pretty sure that there will be some "volunteers" to show you around on Saturday. My suggestion is to set as meeting point the parking lot next to the base station at Kellaria, as early as possible. There you can hand out the testskis ,to those who are intrested, so you wont have to carry a whole bunch by yourself which is not the easiest thing in the world. Χρήσιμο είναι να έχετε υπόψιν σας το μήκος της μπότας σας ( αναγράφεται σε κάποιο σημείο στο πλάι ) και την προτίμηση σας για τη ρύθμιση της δέστρας μιας και η προσαρμογή θα γίνει επι τόπου. Θα είναι ένα βαν, λεπτομέρειες δεν γνωρίζω αλλά σίγουρα θα κάνουν μπαμ οι Αυστριακές πινακίδες, και λογικά θα μας βρείτε εύκολα. Για όσους δεν προλάβουν το πρωινό ραντεβού ας έχουν το νού τους στο πάνω πιατάκι (Περικλής) δεξιά όπως ανεβαίνουμε μιας και είναι πολύ καλά για "εκπαίδευση", χωρίς αυτό όμως να σημείνει ότι δεν θα κινηθούμε και αλλού. Γενικά πιστεύω ότι θα είναι έυκολο να εντοπιστούμε μιας και τα πεδιλα που θα φοράμε βγάζουν μάτια.
