We’re here to remind you, gents, that while the going may get tough, there’s always hope. Among the many female rippers who are making a name for themselves in the sport today, we highlight ten who stand out; these are ten individuals who would be just as rad to shred with as to take out on a date. Now, if only you can arrange for that “chance encounter” on the chairlift. Ingrid Backstrom Ingrid Backstrom has had the male contingent swooning for quite some time now, so it’s only natural that the big-mountain shredder makes our list. Her girl next door looks, infectious smile, and, of course, ripping ski abilities are sure to resonate for many years. Lynsey Dyer Besides boasting a gorgeous smile and athletic build, Dyer has been known to huck off of giant backcountry cliffs, and shreds pow with style and grace—something that only adds to her allure. Grete Eliassen Grete Eliassen is somewhat of a rockstar. Between shredding big mountains and parks alike, she’s also an activist, investing time with groups like the Women’s Sports Foundation. Unfortunately for you bachelors out there, Grete, a.k.a G Baby, tied the knot with one Josh Skogen over the summer, but that doesn’t mean you can’t still crush, right? Caroline Gleich Caroline Gleich has made her way into the spotlight over the course of the past year, and while that can be attributed to the steep descents she tackles and a knack for skiing in front of a camera, her good looks are difficult to ignore. Keltie Hansen Edmonton, Alberta born halfpipe skier Keltie Hansen is a constant threat in the halfpipe; combine solid skills in the U-ditch with a smile like that, and Hansen is a catch. Mirjam Jaeger Switzerland’s Mirjam Jaeger is another ripping halfpipe skier, consistently earning top 10 finishes on the AFP World Tour. Mirjam recently enrolled in graduate school to receive her MBA, too—she’ll school you on-hill or off. Tatum Monod Tatum Monod is best known as the first girl to stomp a double backy in the backcountry—a stunt she nailed in 2012, on her fourth try. She’s emerged as one heck of a strong skier since then, but tread lightly, Monod currently has her arm locked with powder junky Wiley Miller. Sierra Quitiquit The multi-faceted Sierra Quitiquit balances pro skiing with a modeling career. Most recently, Sierra turned heads with her performance and acting in Sweetgrass Productions’ Valhalla. If you can throw front flips off of 100-foot cliffs, you might be able to steal her away from boyfriend Julian Carr. Maude Raymond This Quebecois has arguably the best style among female slopestyle skiers, and her style is just as smooth off the hill, too. “Maad” Maude has teenage park rats around the country weak in the knees. Brita Sigourney Halfpipe star Brita Sigourney has earned her fair share of admirers around the skiing world. Coming off of a knee injury, we’re looking forward to seeing Brita back in form soon.
