Το χρωματάκι για τις κουρτίνες που λέγαμε......

Και η πίστα Άλκηστις σε καμία περίπτωση δεν φτάνει μέχρι το πάρκο. Το ότι εξυπηρετεί και αυτός ο αναβατήρας το πάρκο, δεν σημαίνει ότι και η πίστα φτάνει μέχρι το πάρκο. Και δυστυχώς από τον χάρτη πλέον έχει σβηστεί το παλιό πέτρινο σαλέ της Βαθειάς Λάκκας. Το ότι δεν το αναφέρουν, ουσιαστικά μας λένε ότι δεν πρόκειται να το αξιοποιήσουν τα επόμενα χρόνια.(?)

Μόλις βγήκε και ο καινούριος χάρτης του χιονοδρομικού.Πολύ ωραίος αλλά θέλει μια μικρή διόρθωση. Η Ειρήνη φτάνει μέχρι το σημείο της διασταύρωσης με την Φαίδρα και από εκεί και κάτω είναι ΜΠΛΕδούρα και όχι κόκκινη όπως την έχουν στον χάρτη. Επίσης το απότομο κομμάτι της Δανάης (Βιετνάμ) το χαρακτηρίζουν ως κόκκινο κ μάλιστα συνέχεια της Στύγας.... Δείτε τον

Το χιόνι που είχε σήμερα, μόνο σούπα δεν ήταν. Εσύ, που την είδες....? Για το εκτός, δεν μιλάμε....!Μέχρι τις 3 δεν έλεγε να μαλακώσει πουθενά.... Υπομονή λίιιγο ακόμα.....!

Ακόμα μαι ωραία ημέρα στο Καλάβρυτο! Ήλιος, λίγα συννεφάκια και αεράκι στην αρχή. Από τις 2 και μετά ο αέρας δυνάμωσε, τα σύννεφα σιγά σιγά γινόντουσαν και πιο πυκνά ώσπου κατά τις 4 παρά άρχισε να ρίχνει και ψιλό χιονάκι. Ανοιχτά τα πάντα. Το χιόνι σήμερα, καλύτερο από τις 2 προηγούμενες ημέρες. Σφιχτό από το πρωί κ για όλη την διάρκεια της ημέρας. Ευαχαριστήθηκα το σκί μου τόσο πολύ σήμερα, που κατεβαίνωντας αγαπούσα όλο τον κόσμο....αλήθεια....! Ο κόσμος λίγο παραπάνω από ότι χθες αλλά και πάλι ήταν λίγος...! Με λίγα λόγια....ακόμα μια μέρα που περάσαμε όμορφα στο βουνό και κάψαμε τα πόδια μας... Κλασσικά....θα ακολουθήσει φωτορομάντζο by Alcatraz! Άντε...αύριο πάλι...! @Hellbent : Το υδρομασάζ(και η τιμή του) ΤΑ ΣΠΑΕΙ......! @ΜΙΚ: Μετά τα κοτλεδάκια σου τρώμε και το υδρομασάζ....

Ωραία ήταν και σήμερα στο Καλάβρυτο! Ωραίος καιρός και ε...καλό χιονάκι! Μέχρι τις 1 κάναμε εύκολα κάτω, μετά βουρ για πάνω που ήταν σαφώς καλύτερα. Λιγότερος κόσμος και από χθες, και ακόμη μια μέρα είχαμε το χιονοδρομικό για πάρτη μας....! Άντε να δούμε πως θα είναι κ η αυριανή μέρα..... Κλασσικά....θα ακολουθήσει το γνωστό φωτορομάντζο by Alcatraz, εντός των ημερών..... Λίιιιγο υπομονή....μια εβδομάδα θα είμαστε πάνω.....θα έχετε να δείτε πολλά φωτορομάντζα...

ISPO Day 3: Leftovers and originals. After another hard day of work we finally got some time to chill. Following the traditional rules of English tea time the ISPO business stopped at 5pm. Parties, animations, free dinner which included drinks, meat, cheese and hotdogs were just a few of the things that made the atmosphere so relaxed and made people like our new Scandinavian editor, Kyle the Scooter Master, go crazy! Armada hosted an awesome party with great music which attracted lots of people and we ended up staying longer than expected at ISPO. So finally, the third day has begun and we slowly start to feel tired, but let’s talk about what we think about the final day at ISPO tomorrow. HELMOS SAFETY DAY 2013! Κυριακή 10 Φεβρουαρίου στο Χιονοδρομικό Καλαβρύτων! Την Κυριακή 10 Φεβρουαρίου σας περιμένουμε στο χιονοδρομικό κέντρο Καλαβρύτων για τη HELMOS SAFETY DAY 2013, για να περάσουμε μαζί μια ημέρα γεμάτη ενημέρωση για θέματα ασφάλειας των χιονοδρόμων και επισκεπτών στο βουνό. Η ασφάλεια όλων και η ελαχιστοποίηση των ατυχημάτων, είναι βασικό μέλημα όλης της ομάδας του ΧΚΚ. Η σωστή ενημέρωση βοηθάει προς αυτή την κατεύθυνση, καθώς και η συμμόρφωση με τους κανονισμούς ασφαλείας για τους οποίους θα διανεμηθεί ειδικό φυλλάδιο. Ενδιαφέρουσα και ενημερωτική συζήτηση θα πραγματοποιηθεί στο πατάρι του σαλέ στις 2 μ.μ. όπου είναι σημαντικό να συμμετέχουμε όλοι. Παράλληλα, θα υπάρξει ενημερωτικό παιχνίδι για όλους τους μικρούς φίλους στη Λητώ όλη μέρα και άλλα happenings. Το Χιονοδρομικό κέντρο Καλαβρύτων διοργανώνει τη HELMOS SAFETY DAY για 2η φορά, μετά την επιτυχία της περσινής εκδήλωσης από την οποία μπορείτε να δείτε φωτογραφίες ΕΔΩ! Υπέροχη η σημερινή μέρα στο Καλάβρυτο. Ελάχιστος κόσμος, ήλιος με λίγη συννεφιά και καθόλου αέρας. Όλα ανοιχτά και γενικά...το χιονοδρομικό για πάρτη μας....! Αν και αργήσαμε να ανέβουμε , γεμίσαμε φουλ με τις 4 γεμάτες ώρες που πραγματικά ΛΙΩΣΑΜΕ στο σκι! Το χιόνι ανοιξιάτικο στα χαμηλά αλλά από Βαθειά Λάκκα και πάνω ήταν ότι έπρεπε....! Μακάρι και η αυριανή ημέρα να είναι τόσο καλή όσο κ η σημερινή......! Θα ακολουθήσει το γνωστό φωτορομάντζο by Alcatraz, εντός των ημερών.....

ISPO Day 2: Goggles, Helmets and Clothing The first day of ISPO wrapped up with a bangin’ DJ and some of the best babes and beer around at the Orage party. We retired to our home away from home to rest up for day 2… Or watch the Ravens kick the crap out of the 49ers in the Superbowl. (Go Ravens!) Day 2 has come now and we’ve dedicated it to giving you a glimpse of some of our favorite outerwear and accessories around ISPO. Check out what David and I found below and keep tuned for us to bring the silliness on Day 3! Quiksilver The Utility Jacket (as worn by James Woods) and the Q2 goggles by Thomas Krief. POC The Fornix BC helmet and Lid frameless goggles. Giro The Blok goggles and the ISPO award winning Combyn helmet. Smith The Gage and Vice goggles. Adidas The ID 2 Pro with removable front lens. Too dark? Take off the darker lens in the front to adjust for the conditions. Pretty nifty… Oakley Tanner Hall’s jacket with Tanner Hall’s Canopy goggles… We love Tanner Hall. Nike The Kampai jacket (as worn by Gus Kenworthy) in all its yellow glory. Dakine Dakine jumped on the outerwear scene this year and are coming at their second year in full force. Check out this Force jacket for next season. Orage The B-dog jacket is warm on the cold days and, with the sleeves zipped off, cool on the warm days. Scott Tom Wallisch’s signature LCG goggles… They have Tom Wallisch’s name on them so you know they’ve got to be good. Bollé The B-Wild helmet and Nova goggles. Cébé The Origins goggles. Gloryfy The GP2 goggles. Sweet Protection: The Rooster Discesa (designed in cooperation with Aksel Lund Svindal) is the first helmet to meet (let alone exceed) new FIS regulations. Faction Candide’s park to pow line, the Candide Superlight series, boasts an ultra-light balsa wood core… But you can’t have it because it’s sold out. Keep an eye out for it next season! Rossignol: As always, the S series is lean and mean. Classic cuts and new graphics at the Rossignal booth. Dynastar: Dynastar’s Chamonix series spans the entire mountain from the groomers to the big mountain and is going their bases a makeover. APO Understated and over qualified. APO skis are onto something; a little bit of everything in modest amounts. Not quite sure about the “4:20” printed on 17-year-old Kai Mahler’s pro models though… Icelantic Criticized for their overly wide skis, Icelantic is taking judgment and making it productive. They have introduced a “SKNY” version of their Shaman, Nomad and Pilgrim skis. Armada: Armada was being mean and told us not to take pictures. However, things look very familiar in the Armada booth… Next season’s skis, on a whole, look very promising. We are stoked to see so much innovation, risk and creativity brought to what we thought was becoming a stagnant industry. Get excited and start saving up! Elan: Elan has something up their sleeves but we can’t quite make sense of it yet. Their “Triple Base Technology” is intriguing and looks fun as hell, but will it land? Symmetrical pow ski, the Boomerang, swings for the stars, but looks like the most fun ski here. Salomon: The Salomon booth was too big and far too crowded so we got kind of lost… But, from what we saw, they’re being conservative and sticking to what they know best. Head: Head is keeping secrets, but with the newest minds in their ski team (Simon, Kaya, etc.), they are sure to land something. We’ll keep our fingers crossed for them. White doctor Blackcrows: Liberty Skis: Liberty loves the environment, so they have made all of this year’s skis out of bamboo. It’s renewable, light and strong as can be. We love the environment too, so these skis are totally cool with us! ....συνεχίζεται...

4FRNT: David Wise kills it in the pipe… So they gave him his own ski which they claim was “handmade by him”. They are also introducing the Renegade, a badass directional trail blazer. K2: K2 introduces new directional (fast) and bi-directional (playful) skis to both the men’s and women’s powder collections: Annex, Peditor, Shreditor, Superbright and Remedy. They have also brought the Recoil park in their park line-up. Nordica: Three park skis on display: The Ace, OMW, Badmind. Not quite sure what makes them different… The Ace looks better, go buy that one. Volkl: Introducing the One and the Two, two badass multi-purpose wide skis. They’re loud, fat, playful and beautifully simple. The Katana kind of scares me, but something tells me it is on my team. It’s a touring skier’s dream. ....συνεχίζεται....

ISPO Day 1: Next year’s skis now! We have ventured into the annual circus that is ISPO with cameras and note pads. We are here to sift through the mess and show you what really matters! First up, skis: Majesty: The Knife takes drift out of powder and gives you edge where you never thought you could get some. 130mm under foot, 165 mm at tip and a sharp blade of a nose. Majesty is also giving their bases more aesthetic attention. Line: Line introduces a new ski to the collection, the Sick Day; another super playful fat ski in three widths (Not so fat, fat, and obese). The old names have been given new and beautiful faces. Line looks fresh and playful as always. Scott: Introducing “The Ski”… It is what it is. It looks old. Not much more to say about that… The Jib TW (stands for Tom Wallisch… that one took me longer than it should have) looks amazing. Conservative dimensions, but this blue beauty definitely stood out. Fischer: Fischer is back in the freeski game… Or trying valiantly at least. The Big Stix aren’t fancy, but they have the classic powder features dialed down: early taper, subtle rocker, and they’re fat. The Nightstick’s are matte black… That’s pretty neat. Atomic: The Infamous is a representation of a collaboration of Atomic’s most idolized riders. All of the minds and styles of “the Infamous Squad” (Jossi, Frej, LSM and Nicky) in one, badass pair of skis. ....συνεχίζεται......

Κατασκευάστηκε το 2005-2006. Το γήπεδο (πεδίο βολής) βρίσκεται σε υψόμετρο 1.600 μέτρων. Το πλάτος τους είναι μεταξύ 6 και 10 μέτρων και διασχίζει ένα πευκοδάσος.
