(Source: KDVR/CNN) BERTHOUD PASS, CO (KDVR/CNN) – A dog is credited with saving its owner's life after the skier became paralyzed and stranded in an accident. "He mentioned if he didn't come down in an hour to come looking for him just because the snow was a little deceptive," Ryan Bame said of his uncle Leonard Somers, who went skiing with his Alaskan Husky, Juneau. The sun faded quickly on Nov. 2, the freezing temperatures not far behind it. "I saw Juneau running up the path," Jenny Beltman said. She saw the dog at the bottom of the hill and heard the dog bark to get her attention. "I first saw the dog by himself, and then he headed over to where Leonard was," Beltman said. Somers had fallen into a ravine, hitting a frozen tree trunk and breaking his back, unable to move his legs. His companion Juneau left his side only long enough to get the attention of other skiers. "He was very loyal," she said. "He was sitting with him. He wouldn't leave his side." Flight for Life rushed Somers to Saint Anthony Hospital, where a week and a surgery later, a very excited Alaskan Husky waited patiently to greet him. With his feet in casts, and a hand on his Bible, Somers has spent every day reflecting on his accident and his dog. "I don't know if God was reaching out through her, or something bigger was playing out," he said. "She knew I needed help. She helped me dig out and laid on me to keep me warm until help came." Somers may not walk again, but he said he maintains a positive attitude. "There are a lot of alternatives that could have happened that day," he said. "If I can't end up walking, my faith won't change. It's going to be much stronger." As for Juneau, her life is now rich with rewards and some much-needed rest. "I love her so much for her help," Somers said. "If you ever see her on the streets, give her a big hug and a kiss."

Έλα, πραγματικά, πόσους δημόσιους διαγωνισμούς ξέρεις εσύ να κατακυρώνονται και να υπογράφεται η σύμβαση σε ένα τετράμηνο; (Εντάξει, εξαιρούνται τα υποβρύχια και οι προμήθειες Siemens) Αυτό που θα μπορούσαμε να πούμε θα ήταν να γίνει ένα έργο, με έναν διαγωνισμό και με διάφορα στάδια παράδοσης (βλ. πχ Εθνικοί Οδοί).

Με τις κατάλληλες προμήθειες και με 30+ άτομα μια χαρά θα είναι και στο φουαγιέ του ξενοδοχείου. Αλλά πάω στοίχημα ότι κάτι θα έχει κανονιστεί! Sent from my LG-P880 using Tapatalk

Του χρόνου έχω τάξει να τρέξω στο 5αρι. Αλλά και αυτό με το ζόρι, γιατί ακόμα και όταν έκανα (πολύ) αθλητισμό, το τρέξιμο το βαριόμουν...

Θέμη, πέρσι από όταν άνοιξε η Φτερόλακα, δούλευε κανονικά μαζί με την 6.

Tι εναλλακτικές/δυνατότητες υπάρχουν για μεταφορά χιονιού/παγίδευση χιονιού στην είσοδο του Οδυσσέα για να καλύψουν τα προβλήματα αυτά έλλειψης χιονιού;

Πως τα πήγατε όσοι τρέξατε; Όλγα; Μάνο;

Ξεκίνησα να το βλέπω αργά χθες το βράδυ, αλλα με πήρε ο ύπνος. Η συνέχεια σήμερα. Πολύ καλό όσο είδα.

Γίνεται αυτό χωρίς χωματουργικά; Ή απλά τραβερσάροντας;

Δεν πειράζει! Εμείς περάσαμε όμορφα πάντως!!!

Ιδιωτικός οργανισμός είναι ο ΣΕΓΑΣ....μάλλον η νοοτροπία των Ελλήνων είναι το πρόβλημα πρόεδρε...

Κι εγώ για το παγκάκι σκεφτόμουν, αλλά είναι το που θα βρούμε. Πάρε με τηλ Μαίρη για να περάσεις...ούτε κι εγώ θα τρέξω μαραθώνιο/5αρι/10αρι...για την παρέα (και τον Δεν Ξενερώνω) θα πάω!
