The Patagonian wind catches the three overloaded ski bags strapped to the roof and it rocks our vehicle like a boat on the open sea. The car is destined towards Villa La Angostura, Argentina, a small town situated on the northern shores of Lago Nahuel Huapi in the Argentine Lake District, where I’ll spend the next three days leading a local search and rescue group through snow safety courses and showing them how to use the donated beacons they just received from the South American Beacon Project. Snowbird ski patroller and Ruby Mountain heli guide Alex Taran founded the South American Beacon Project in 2011 when she donated a fleet of beacons to her South American home mountain, La Parva, Chile. After following winter south for the summer for several years, Taran noticed a gap in avalanche education and protocol, with the Southern Hemisphere lagging behind in available technology. Simply put, low wages and budgets make it difficult for ski patrollers to obtain rescue equipment. Although the resort had a small fleet of beacons, it was not enough to give every worker one each time they ventured out the door. The South American Beacon Project consists of two parts. The first and most basic is physically getting beacons in the hands of mountain workers and showing them how to efficiently use them. The second step provides free avalanche education classes that will reinforce how to travel safely in dangerous terrain. People saw the value of the program,” says Taran. This spurred her to carry on with the project and enlist the help of others in the industry. She reached out to people like Craig Gordon, forecaster and educator at the Utah Avalanche Center, who developed the Know Before You Go (KBYG) program to bring avy education to a younger demographic. “Alex told me of her time in South America and related how little avy awareness there was in that hood,” says Gordon. “We decided to team up and I agreed to provide her with everything she needed to take KBYG to the southern hemisphere.” Most of the beacons donated by the South American Beacon Project come from organizations in the United States who are renovating their fleets. Each of the beacons undergoes a rigorous testing process before it is considered for donation. SABP volunteers bring the beacons that pass the test to South America. Eventually, Taran started talking to companies like Ortovox to procure additional beacons for donation. Since 2011, the South American Beacon Project has reached out and worked with 20 groups of snow safety professionals. This past season, Taran and the SABP visited with ski patrols from Nevados de Chillan, Farrellones, and Las Trancas, Chile, all the way down to Chalten, Argentina, where they met up with a group of national park rangers. “These tools will help us a lot by allowing us to deal with avalanches and be able to do the work safely and with more confidence,” says Cristian Sepulveda, former ski patrol director of Nevados de Chillan. Covering a lot of ground and spreading the Buena Onda, or good vibes, ensures that the project will keep rolling. “We are really excited to get these programs in place and get people involved. We also hope to design some beacon training facilities so they can continue practicing what they have learned,” says Taran. Φυσικά σεμινάριο χωρίς μπύρες και κρασιά τι θα καταλάβεις ; Άλλωστε χωρίς αυτά δεν θα είναι ολοκληρωμένη εμπειρία!!!

Μέσα είσαι και εγώ κερνάω μερικούς κουβάδες χιόνι!!!!

Φίλε μου το LINK όπως είπα το βρήκα ενδιαφέρον και κάθε τι εδώ μέσα το βρίσκω ενδιαφέρον και έχει και μεγάλη σημασία όπως λες, όμως μόνο σαν αναφορά ή αν είσαι γνώστης, παραπάνω πληροφορίες .Κάθε χιονοδρόμος που κάνει ski εκτός χιονοδρομικού θα πρέπει να έχει επιπλέον γνώσεις και δεξιότητες και φυσικά θα αποκτήσει και εμπειρία (το πιο σημαντικό).Οι γνώσεις από έντυπα ,video,και ότι άλλο θες κατά τη γνώμη μου πάντα,είναι χρήσιμες αλλά χωρίς εξάσκηση δεν μπορείς να κάνεις τίποτα.Η γνώση φίλε μου συμπληρώνεται με την εμπειρία και αυτήν δεν τη βρίσκεις στα βιβλία.

Άλλο ένα πολύ ενδιαφέρον άρθρο για χιονοστιβάδες,αυτό όμως που θα ήθελα να επισημάνω είναι η μικρή τους σημασία αν δεν δουλέψουμε πάνω σ' αυτές τις γνώσεις Είναι ένα πεδίο που θέλει πολύ εμπειρία γι' αυτό θέλει πολύ εξάσκηση. Το ερώτημα το δικό μου είναι αν εμείς σαν σύλλογος μπορούμε να οργανώσουμε ένα σεμινάριο ή ένα σχολείο με θεωρία και πράξη και όχι μόνο πάνω σ' αυτό το θέμα ;

Εγώ δεν έχω ασχοληθεί με τον Όλυμπο και δεν είμαι και ορειβάτης αλλά νομίζω ότι η ορεινή Ελλάδα και όχι μόνο έχει ανάγκη από μια καλή παρουσίαση σ' όλο τον κόσμο.

Φίλε μου οι LANGE είναι 21.5 οι alpina πρέπει να είναι 2 νούμερα μικρότερες αν δεν κάνω λάθος γιατί το νούμερο ήταν σε αυτοκόλλητο.

Πουλάω δύο set ski Dynastar 120cm και 140cm με δέστρες Look και μπότες Alpina και Lance σε πολύ καλή κατάσταση 50 ευρώ το καθένα . Αν κάποιος με παιδιά ενδιαφέρεται ας επικοινωνήσει.

Oι προπονήσεις είναι αυτό που χρειάζομαι σίγουρα και όχι μόνο.Στολή και ζώνη με βάρη δεν είναι δικά μου , ευτυχώς για το βουνό είμαι κομπλέ και έτσι θα ρίξω το βάρος σ' αυτά. Μην ξεχάσω να σας ευχαριστήσω για τις ευχές!!!

Για τους φίλους που θέλουν να μάθουν νέα να πω ότι παρακολούθησα 15-25/09/2014 σχολείο ελεύθερης κατάδυσης και στο παρακάτω βίντεο θα δείτε την πρώτη μου προσπάθεια στα 10 m . Αν και η προσπάθεια δεν είναι και τεχνικά η καλύτερη δείχνει ότι το νερό και με τη μορφή θάλασσας και με τη μορφή χιονιού είναι πανέμορφο!!!! Επίσης να συμπληρώσω ότι βουνό και θάλασσα θέλουν μεγάλο σεβασμό γιατί μπορούν πολύ εύκολα από όμορφα να γίνουν επικίνδυνα !

Μπράβο!!!!!!!! Αυτή την εκδρομή την βάζω στα Must. Ίσως του χρόνου να μπορώ να σας κάνω παρέα.

Δυστυχώς μερικές φορές ξεχνάμε ότι παρόλο τις γνώσεις μας η φύση πάντα είναι απρόβλεπτη. Κρίμα!

Νομίζω και εγώ ότι πέρα από την έλειψη υποδομών που πρέπει να βελτιωθούν , ο σημαντικότερος παράγοντας είναι η εργασία στην Ελλάδα. Δεν μπορείς να κανονίζεις λευκές , μαύρες και κίτρινες διακοπές όταν δεν μπορείς να βγάλεις ένα μεροκάματο,όταν το 50% αυτών που εργάζονται δεν πληρώνονται. Την περασμένη χρονιά προτίμησα τα Καλάβρυτα από τον Παρνασσό λόγο της τιμής στο ski-bus-χκκ, δεν με ενδιαφέρει τόσο το που θα κάνω ski όσο το αν θα κάνω. Αν για τον Α ή Β λόγο δεν μπορώ να το κάνω, να βράσω και τις εγκαταστάσεις τους και τα καταλύματα τους.

Για να καταλάβω νομικά είσαι ok αλλά για άλλη μια φορά έχουμε να κάνουμε με το θέμα <<Τσιφλίκη>>; Δηλαδή μόνο αυτοί που μένουν στα ξενοδοχεία αφήνουν χρήμα στην περιοχή; Και αυτός που έχει την οικογένεια του σε ένα Camber και θέλει ασφάλεια και κάποιες μικρές παροχές θα το παρκάρει στην πλατεία του χωριού γιατί έτσι το θέλουν κάποιοι;Tώρα αυτό το λες <<Λογική>>;
